Here is cutting a little drawer that turned out great.
I inadvertently learned that this FLA-100 clone will cut steel when my 1/4" carbide tool path intersected one of the 5/16" washers I was using to hold down the work. At 60ipm there was an ugly chatter but no steps were skipped and the job completed perfectly. I'm pretty excited about trying some aluminum now.
Lauren gave me a classic 10" radial arm saw for my birthday after we moved (and have a garage). I've been testing its ability to cut accurately. Ripping this walnut and maple to one inch felt reasonably dangerous and I'll probably build the jig suggested in the original manual for ripping small stock.

The fire stand is designed as a display stand for my beaded bottles - blucka bluck, cna yoohoo, etc. The idea was to make a display that made it appear that the bottle was lit by campfire. A platform holding the bottle rotates, showing the bottle from all sides and also moving powered contacts around under a circle of LED's which flicker with many colors.
